Promoting a cleaning company in America has a number of significant features determined by the specifics of the market and the characteristics of this niche in the USA.

About the Project
Goldmillio Cleaning Service — a young team of active business people created a project for cleaning homes and commercial spaces in Florida, Cape Coral. The request came in for promoting cleaning services in the USA. The initial data was as follows:
- a young website, domain registered in 2023
- a young company profile, registered in Google Business Profile in 2023
- the project has been in progress since June 2023
Objectives
The client wanted to increase visibility and the number of inquiries from the local pack generated in organic search and service search on Google Maps.
We accepted this task, having first made sure that the client understood it was ambitious, that a lot would need to be changed and possibly redone.
Promotion Methods and Strategy
How do you grow a cleaning company in the USA? Let’s break it down step by step.
Initial Data Analysis
The first thing to keep in mind is the extremely high competition. The number of cleaning companies in a small city is simply off the charts.
Only a small portion of companies from the map search is shown.
The second thing we noticed was the absolutely poor choice of business registration location. We know how important it is to choose the right location for local promotion.
As shown in the figure, the location is such that the residential sector — the primary target audience — exists only to the north and in the immediate vicinity of the company’s location. A large share of the “coverage” area is taken up by a park and a river. Always keep this in mind when doing local SEO!
The third thing that came up during the initial data analysis was an error related to the registration of the profile in Google Business Profile. Specifically, the original profile lacked the option to manage and populate the website created in GBP — that is, there was no way to link the company’s website to the site created by Google on the business.site platform.
Unfortunately, Google acknowledges this problem but has still not been able to resolve it.
What Was Done
For successful work, the most important factor is a shared understanding of the problem between the specialist and the client. That is, the client must understand what we are going to do and why. Therefore, the first thing we did was agree on a concept:

Step-by-Step Instructions
To make it clear what we did in this project — we’ll try to concisely describe the list of actions carried out:
Identifying the Primary Keyword — Step 1
This is the most important stage. It will determine how we build our future web solution and how we configure the profile in GBP (Google Business Profile). Since there was no data to analyze at the start of the project, we optimized the first version of the website and the company profile for the following keyword: cleaning service in Cape Coral. At this stage, we made a serious mistake. So, take this step very seriously. Sometimes seemingly straightforward services may not be straightforward at all. As practice showed, the search engine favors a more specific query: house cleaning in Cape Coral. Keep that in mind!
Setting Up the Cleaning Company Profile — Step 2
I hope you’ve read the article on local business promotion strategy mentioned above and understand that to properly set up the profile, we need the primary keyword as well as a list of categories (types of services offered) from those Google provides for local businesses. Let’s assume we already have the keyword — and the best way to determine the categories is by analyzing competitors in Google Maps results for the primary keyword. I recommend using the GMB Everywhere tool for this, the workings of which are described in detail in the article mentioned above. Website Creation — Step 3
I’ll again refer those who aren’t entirely clear on what website structure is needed for successful local promotion to the article mentioned above. At this point, we settled on the following structure, which can be expressed as:
What was implemented on the website:
- Six landing pages including the homepage — Services
- Six blog categories whose pages promote the corresponding landing pages — CASES
- Transfer of category weight to service pages
The website is built on WordPress. The website content is original, provided by the client. Page structure was developed based on competitor analysis using the Serpstat tool.
Posting — Step 4
As part of the promotion strategy, posting to the GBP profile was carried out using the Serpstat Local SEO tool. It allows you to simultaneously publish to the profile and post to fourteen directories, including Facebook, Yelp, YellowPages, Trustpilot, Bing, and others. All of these signals are taken into account by the search engine and work great for promoting cleaning company services locally.

The posting frequency was as follows: the first month — three blog cases and three posts in Serpstat Local SEO per week. Subsequent months: two cases on the website and two posts in Serpstat Local SEO per week. This frequency was sufficient to start receiving clients from organic search for a young website and a fresh business within three months.
Results
Over six months of work, we achieved the following results:
- The website began receiving organic traffic
- Online cleaning service inquiries started coming in through the website
- The company’s location in Cape Coral moved up significantly in the top positions on Maps for the primary keyword
- Accordingly, visibility appeared in organic search — in the local pack block in the search results. Visibility measurement using the Local Falcon tool in September:

Conclusions
With systematic work and the right tools in place, it is possible to achieve significant growth for young websites in local promotion. Promoting a cleaning company is no exception. We were once again convinced that our local SEO strategy is more than viable and can bring tangible benefits to virtually any local business.
At this point, Goldmillio Cleaning is the fastest-growing cleaning company in Cape Coral. We continue to work on the project.
